Scottsdale Fashion Square

Home to more than 40 exclusive retailers and close to 200 tenants, Scottsdale Fashion square is a Super Regional Shopping Mall destination. A. V. Schwan and Assoc., Inc. has designed the structure in Ten phases over the last 26 years. With over 2,000,000 sq. ft. of gross lease area our design team worked to ensure a quality structure with minimal vibration susceptibility and maintain flexibility for the ever changing world of retail. In addition, the Super Regional Mall includes parking structures with over 7,000 spaces constructed of cast in place concrete, precast concrete, Steel and cast in place post-tensioned concrete. The flexibility of the design makes moving new tenants in and meeting their specific requirements feasible and economical.

Two separate project phases included the addition of two level retail buildings over major artery streets. The 1997 expansion included as addition of 871,403 sq. ft. of parking garage. To meet a tight schedule while adding space for 2,943 cars and a vehicle bridge, the design team chose a precast concrete structure. The design allowed the facility to harmonize with the style of the retail structure and fit with the desert landscape.

The latest phase X phase "Barney's Wing" includes two levels of mall retail with 160,000 sq. ft. of structure. Also is a two level 60,000 sq. ft. Barney's of New York store, of which it is a first in the state of Arizona. Below the retail buildings are two levels of parking with valet drop off and escalators to the upper level retail.
