History of A.V. Schwan & Associates

Anthony Schwan started his consulting experience in 1960 when he joined a consulting engineering firm in Phoenix, Arizona as a structural design engineer and later advanced to Vice President and member of the Board of Directors.

In 1969, Mr. Schwan established A.V. Schwan & Associates, Inc. As a consulting engineering firm, A.V. Schwan & Associates started getting involved in different types of projects such as: high-rise hotels, school complexes, commercial and industrial manufacturing plants, shopping centers, medical clinics, religious facilities, and specialty structures.

Stephen Schwan began his career with A. V. Schwan & Associates in 1980 as a Structural Draftsman, commencing his full time career in 1988.  Stephen has successfully designed and managed numerous commercial, retail, school campus, churches and Industrial distribution centers.  His structural design experience incorporates structural steel, concrete, wood, masonry and post tensioned slabs on grade.  Known for his dedication to providing excellent client services, takes a proactive approach to each project.

Today, A.V. Schwan & Associates is a well known and trusted name in the consulting structural engineering field with a vast experience and long project list.
